Yes. Complete beginners are always welcome at Winchester CKD. Our instructors will introduce you to the basics and help you progress gradually.
We currently welcome new students from five years old upwards. But sugeest they have been at school for at least 6 months so they have learnt to concentrate for an hour.
No. Improving fitness is one of the reasons people start martial arts. Training can be adapted to your current level, and you can improve progressively.
Yes. Choi Kwang Do is particularly suited to families because children and adults can learn the same martial art while progressing towards their individual goals.
No. Choi Kwang Do is a non-competitive martial art. We don’t train for tournaments and competitive sparring isn’t required.
Yes. Awareness, avoidance, confidence and practical self-defence skills form an important part of our martial arts training.
Probably not! We have programmes suitable for different ages and fitness levels, including students over 60. The best way to find out is to come and try a class.
