Hi, My names Kirsty and I've had the privilege of training with Mr and Mrs Bicknell for about 8 months now.

I have been training in Martial Arts for 10 years, I started off training within the TAGB and then transferred to another Tae Kwon Do association. Whilst training, I felt there was something missing. So I started looking into cross training. I tried several different clubs but was finding it very difficult trying to keep an open mind and not compare everything to the Academy. One day I came across the Choi Kwang-Do website and decided to call. I spoke with Mr Bicknell, it sounded good. It was arranged, I was going along that Saturday. I was apprehensive at first, but that vanished when I received such a warm and friendly welcome. It was fun, and the Bicknells and all other Assistant Instructors make you want to learn more.

After the first class I thought to myself "Okay, So Choi's different from what I'm used too, its structured, there's discipline and of course the Korean terminology, but that is something I find appealing." So I decided to go back and have done ever since. I don't even mind getting up early on a Saturday morning as I know I'll come away feeling invigorated and ready for the rest of my day.

My only regret is that I am unable to attend any other classes other than the Saturday due to my work commitments, but maybe I can work on that one.... :)

So, Thank you Mr and Mrs Bicknell for providing a friendly environment to train in and meet new people and most of all for making me feel like part of a team.
